Two Practical Tools for Immediate Fruit -- Christopher Ledezma, Garden City Church

It doesn't get more practical than this! If you've ever felt like you weren't sure how to get started -- or how to get your disciples un-stuck -- this talk is for you. Christopher Ledezma is a gifted disciple-maker, teacher, and leader at Garden City Church, where he teaches a wildly popular and highly effective disciplemaking class.

Some Additional Tips on the Tools from Christopher's Talk:

Daily Prayer Calendar

Always try to respond to their prayer request with a short prayer, whether via text or voice memo. It is a powerful experience for people (especially unbelievers) to read or hear a prayer on their behalf. It can also have a great impact to ask the Lord for a specific scripture, story, or word of encouragement and share it with them.

• Ask the Lord how you can help with any needs they express, as a way to "love your neighbor".

• With those who are not saved, you may get a wide range of responses from no reply at all, to confusion, to an actual prayer request. That is normal. Do not take any of it personally.

• You do not need to make a new schedule every 30 days. The Lord will show you when to take people off and add new people on.

U.T.C. Schedule

Remember to teach the U.T.C. schedule before the Daily Prayer Calendar. It lays a spiritual foundation to steward the prayer calendar, and creates space in a person's schedule to easily manage it.

• It is critical that a person has accountability support as they develop the new rhythm of implementing a U.T.C. schedule.

• The schedule is flexible and the times can be adjusted as needed, but the goal should always be 60 minutes.
